Eastern Influence

C memorizing the process--the opposite of how I cook, which involves constantly referencing recipes on my Mac.

Some of the curry sauce ingredients.

Veggie and chicken stirfry in oil.

Curry sauce simmering..

The final product.. C's Thai chicken curry. It had a nice kick.

XOXO

New Dish on Gossip Girl

A few things:

-I didn't think Georgina's baby bump was real. I am still skeptical that Georgina Sparks would go through with a pregnancy even if it happened. I see see her as feminist enough to enforce her right to choose. Secondly, Dan's baby? She might deliver an heir or heiress, but I doubt she'd be willing to link herself to Henry David Humphrey for the better part of two decades, minimum.

So! I ramble. Hadn't you noticed?

-Serena and Nate are barely mentioned? Sounds like Dan, V, and G are going to share center stage with the Blair/Chuck/other girl storyline. Two love triangles and a boring couple. Meh.

-The musical talent better not be Ke$ha. Even the act of typing her stupid dollar sign name annoys me. Who honestly takes that liberty? Anyway. As far as the guest, I'm thinking it might be Kylie Minogue as a professor or artist. Both new and iconic? Or, you know, given that criteria, it's probably The Pretty Reckless (Grind that cigarette in the dirty pavement with your plastic heel, Taylor, you bad ass!).

-On that note, why is Jenny Humphrey coming back? She's contradicting a direct order from Queen B, and I hope she is humbled upon return. I wanted to like her way back on the steps in Season 1, but she's just unlikable. I hope the writers work some magic on her personality this season.

-And finally, no mention of Rufus or Lily which means I can only hope their tedious relationship either evolves into something more pleasant to watch, or dissolves...into something that will also ultimately be more pleasant to watch.

Just a taste...

Which is exactly what I'm getting of Gossip Girl right now! Just a taste. This summer has been relatively quiet since Season 3 ended with a bang...what, too soon?

Luckily, it's probably not too soon, since we see that Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass is alive and well and joining the ladies in Paris---with a new leading lady by his side! Meh. I heart ChuckandBlair so of course I am not for this. We'll have to see how the storyline progresses in the city of love.

The biggest news besides Chuck's survival story that I've seen this summer is one Jenny Humphrey sent packing for an undisclosed amount of time, which is fine by me. I'm over Taylor Momsen and her rants and antics; I don't care if she doesn't want to be "Miley fucking Cyrus", look at her these days! How could you, Chuck Bass??

In minor news, I'm just wanting to see Chase Crawford on HD again. Who cares if he's not so much a clean-shaven, dapper Nate Archibald in real life? I love a sexy, scruffy possessor of "the good shit" anyway. Hell, I'd hit it if he passed it to me. Don't judge!

Dan and Vanessa don't count, so I have no idea if they are into any great hijinks. Overall, the GG summer has been pretty tame.

BUT! We finally have photos rolling in from Paris with the summer heat waves! Blake Lively and Leighton Meester look amazing whether they relaxed and happy on a wrought-iron balcony or having a cat fight in front of a marble fountain. I wonder what kind of crazy stunt S pulled to earn that unsolicited dip? Hmmm...looks like Gossip Girl already has temperatures rising!

OK, ok. Enough with the heat analogies. I live in Florida, spare me. Let's just talk about the REAL star of these scenes...these pants. Love 'em, or hate 'em? My instinct says they are repulsive, but methinks they will grace some fall fashion shows for sure.

Either way, lots of fashion sneak peeks to look forward to now that GG has resumed filming! Can't wait til Season Four airs September 13th on the CW!
